Admission Process

The staff at La Maison Arc-en-Ciel assists all potential clients in obtaining the necessary assessments in order to complete the admission process as quickly as possible.

The intake process begins with a self-referral or from a referral agent in collaboration with the client. The referral agent will forward the referral package to La Maison Arc-en-Ciel.

Referral Package

Once all the necessary information is received, a member of our clinical team will review the application within 2 working days. At that time, we will schedule a telephone interview with the applying client.

A referral agent may have one of the following roles:…

  • Counsellor
  • Social Worker
  • Physician
  • Psychiatrist
  • Psychologist
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Probation Officer
  • Case Manager
  • Member of a team that provides community mental health and addiction services
Referral Package

Criteria for Admission

  • Ontario resident, male, between the ages of 12 and 24 with substance abuse problems
  • Able to communicate in French or English
  • Completed a minimum of 48 hours of a detoxification program

  • Demonstrate a willingness to participate in our program
  • Be willing to respect the rules and guidelines of La Maison Arc-en-Ciel program

  • Be physically able to participate in the program

What do you need to bring?

To participate in outdoor activities it is important that clients have the proper clothing for outdoor activities. Fall and Winter in Northern Ontario are cold, clients will need to bring warm clothes and outerwear. A list of what to bring and pack will be included upon a clients’ admission to the program.
